2009 – my best year… so far ;-)

When dreams come true… I did it, I became an Iron(wo)man with a time of 11:58!

Besides, this year I had the opportunity to represent my country in the following big events: Winter Triathlon European Championship, Short-distance Duathlon European Championship, MTB Marathon World Championship, Cyclocross European Championship. I can’t tell which one was the least though.

At the end of the year, I got a nice surprise: I became a “First Class Athlete in duatlon”. Me, a mountain biker… 😉

2008 – better and better

Statistically speaking, 2008 was a really good year: 25 gold, 9 silver and 7 bronze medals out of 42 races.

But what is much mre important: I begin to see that yes, I can beat the other girls, even if I am “young” in terms of sports experience. Everything is decided up in your head – how true…

Besides the races, I made a very important and responsible decision: I will be an IRONMAN next year! I really got infected, there’s no escape. :-)

Finally, as winter came, I got to know the toughest winter “fun” called winter triathlon (consisting of runinng, mountain biking and cross-country skiing). Love at first sight.

2007 – (almost) a full year

Almost, because I managed to perform something I have not been able to do ever since – make a big jump over the overpass of Pilis XCO Cup. Luckily, no bones broken, but an obligatory far-away from the race course. Not  a nice start of the season…

Then I got to know more about off-road triathlon – what a feeling! If only I could swim with my head in the water… 😉

Soon I got a custom-built Mali Magician road bike (blue beauty!), so I could start in some road bike and cyclocross races. The latter one is funny, as I didn’t have a cyclocross bike, but my beloved boyfriend transformed the mountain and the road bike into a cyclocross one.
